David Miklos is a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist based in Ohio. He writes, performs and produces his own all-original music in his home recording studio. His debut full-length album (Something Else Beyond) was released on bandcamp.com and for streaming in 2021. He has been working on a new album to be released in late 2026.
Deeply rooted in rock n’ roll, Miklos combines elements of folk and psychedelic with heavy electric guitar driven motifs. His songs take the listener on an adventure that feels familiar but somehow simultaneously uncharted.
A SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Miklos’ love of music began when he was about eight years old. He grew up in a musical family; his mother playing piano at home and singing in the choir. His father a guitar player and singer as well. Miklos grew up surrounded by music and began singing along to the radio at an early age.
When he eventually stumbled upon his father’s CD collection, he immediately fell in love with the sounds of the rock n’ roll from the ‘60s and ‘70s. He began learning to play on a nylon-string acoustic guitar his father borrowed from a friend. On his eighth birthday he was given his first electric guitar and amp. That moment marked the beginning of a head-first dive into a world of musical self-expression that has lasted decades.
Miklos started his first band with a friend and schoolmate when they were twelve years old. Eventually becoming a four-piece, Bonneville would go on to write and record dozens of original songs and perform hundreds of shows over the course of about fourteen years. It is during this time in Bonneville that Miklos honed his craft as a lead guitar player, singer, songwriter and audio engineer.
After Bonneville disbanded, Miklos was slightly disillusioned but never stopped writing and recording his own songs. He dabbled in a few occasional musical projects before deciding in 2018 to begin working on what would become his first full-length solo album. Miklos wanted the freedom of complete creative control over every aspect of the writing and recording process from start to finish; to truly put all of himself into his creation.
Miklos’ debut album Something Else Beyond was written and recorded in a single room home recording studio between 2018 and 2020. Released January 1, 2021 on most major streaming platforms, Something Else Beyond offers the listener a unique perspective of American life in the post-modern world through the lens of ten jangling guitar and keyboard driven tracks. All songs were written, performed, recorded and mixed by David Miklos.
He is currently working on his next full-length album to be released in late 2026.
